Welcome to ResaleOS ("we," "our," or "us"). We value your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our web application ResaleOS (the "Service").

By using ResaleOS, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue using the Service.

  • Business information (store name, address, registration details)

When you sign in using Google OAuth, we receive:

This information is subject to Google's Privacy Policy. We do not receive or store your Google password.

We automatically collect data about how you access and use ResaleOS, such as:

d. Transaction and Inventory Data

If you use ResaleOS for sales or inventory management, we may collect:

  • Inventory quantities by location
  • Supplier and customer details (as entered by you)

e. Payment Information

When you add payment methods or process transactions, we use Stripe, Square, and Clover to securely handle payment processing. We do not store your full credit card details on our servers. Payment data is handled by the respective payment processor and is subject to their privacy policies.

f. Point of Sale and Ecommerce Data

When you use ResaleOS for in-store or online selling, we may collect:

  • Customer names, email addresses, and phone numbers (as entered at checkout)
  • Customer shipping and billing addresses
  • Order details, transaction amounts, and payment methods used
  • In-store sale records processed via Square, Clover, or Stripe

g. Consignment and Vendor Booth Data

When you use ResaleOS to manage consignors or vendor booths, we may collect:

  • Consignor names, email addresses, and contact details
  • Consignor payout preferences and records (Zelle, Venmo, PayPal, check, cash, or store credit)
  • Commission split configurations and earned balances
  • Consigned item records, including intake, sale, and payout history
  • Vendor booth assignment details and recurring fee billing schedules

Consignors who register through your consignor portal provide their information directly. That information is stored within your ResaleOS account and used solely to operate the consignment management features.

h. Shipping Data

When you use ResaleOS to generate shipping labels or book freight and logistics services, we may collect:

  • Sender and recipient names and addresses
  • Package dimensions and weight
  • Carrier preferences and service levels
  • Carrier account credentials (encrypted), where applicable

This data is shared with shipping carriers to fulfill your shipment requests.

i. Tax Calculation Data

When you enable automatic tax calculation, ResaleOS uses the customer's shipping or billing address to compute applicable sales tax in-house. Address data used for tax purposes is not shared with any third party for this function.

j. Location Data

When you add business locations, we may collect:

  • Physical addresses
  • Google Places IDs (for address validation and autocomplete)
  • Contact information for each location

This data is used to manage inventory by location and may be shared with sales channels when listing products.

k. Sales Channel Integration Data

When you connect sales channels (eBay, Etsy, Shopify, etc.), we may collect and store:

  • API credentials and access tokens (encrypted)
  • Channel-specific settings and preferences
  • Product listing data synchronized with these platforms

l. Team Member Data

When you add team members to your ResaleOS account, we collect:

  • Name and email address of each invited team member
  • Role and permission settings assigned to each member

Team members access your account on your behalf and their activity is logged under your account.

m. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to:

  • Maintain your login session
  • Analyze app performance and improve user experience

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your data to:

  • Provide and operate the ResaleOS platform
  • Process transactions and manage user accounts
  • Synchronize product listings across connected sales channels (cross-listing)
  • Process payments and manage billing via Stripe, Square, and Clover
  • Manage consignor accounts, calculate commissions, and record payouts
  • Manage vendor booth assignments and process recurring booth fees
  • Generate shipping labels and coordinate freight and logistics bookings
  • Calculate applicable sales tax based on transaction addresses
  • Communicate updates, offers, or technical notices

  • Generate and enhance product information and images using AI (see Section 8)

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your data. We may share your data only when necessary:

a. With Sales Channel Platforms

When you enable cross-listing, we share your product data (including images, descriptions, pricing, and inventory) with the sales channels you connect, such as:

  • eBay, Etsy, Shopify, WooCommerce, Squarespace
  • Facebook Marketplace, Pinterest, Poshmark
  • Craigslist, Mercari, Kashew, Vinted
  • And other platforms you choose to connect

Each platform's use of your data is governed by their respective privacy policies.

b. With Shipping Carriers and Logistics Providers

When you generate a shipping label or book a shipment, we share the necessary shipment details (sender/recipient addresses, package dimensions) with the selected carrier or service provider, such as:

  • USPS, FedEx, UPS
  • Lugg, GoShare, uShip (for local delivery and freight)

c. With Service Providers

We share data with trusted service providers who help us operate the platform:

  • Stripe — Payment processing (subscription billing and POS). See Stripe's Privacy Policy.

  • Clover — Point of sale payment processing. See Clover's Privacy Policy.
  • Cloudflare R2 — Image and file storage
  • MongoDB — Database hosting

  • OpenAI — AI-powered product information generation and image processing

d. For Legal Reasons

We may share data if required by law or to protect our rights, property, or safety.

e. In Case of Business Transfer

In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may transfer as part of business assets.

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard encryption (HTTPS, SSL/TLS) and secure storage practices to protect your data. API credentials and sensitive information are encrypted at rest. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal data as long as your account is active or as needed to comply with legal obligations. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us or deleting your account.

When you delete your account, we will:

  • Delete your personal information from our systems
  • Remove your product listings and inventory data
  • Disconnect your sales channel integrations
  • Delete consignor and vendor booth records associated with your account
  • Note: Some data may be retained in backups for a limited time, and data shared with third-party platforms (like sales channels) may remain on those platforms per their policies.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to:

  • Access, correct, or delete your personal data
  • Withdraw consent for processing
  • Request a copy of your data in a portable format
  • Opt-out of certain data processing activities

8. Third-Party Services

ResaleOS integrates with several third-party services. Your data shared with these services is subject to their respective privacy policies:

e. AI Services

  • OpenAI — Processes product images and generates product information (titles, descriptions, categories, and AI-enhanced backgrounds). When you use AI listing creation or AI photo staging features, product images may be sent to OpenAI for analysis and generation. See OpenAI's Privacy Policy.

f. Shipping Carriers and Logistics

  • USPS, FedEx, UPS — Parcel shipping label generation. Shipment data (addresses, package details) is shared to fulfill label requests.
  • Lugg, GoShare, uShip — Local delivery, white-glove, and freight services. Pickup and delivery addresses are shared to coordinate bookings.

g. Sales Channel Platforms

When you connect sales channels, your product data is shared with those platforms according to their privacy policies. We recommend reviewing the privacy policies of each platform you connect.

9. Cross-Listing and Data Synchronization

When you enable cross-listing, ResaleOS automatically synchronizes your product data (including images, descriptions, pricing, and inventory) across connected sales channels. This means:

  • Your product information is shared with each connected platform
  • Inventory updates are synchronized across platforms
  • Each platform's use of your data is governed by their privacy policy
  • You can disconnect channels at any time to stop data sharing

10. Consignment and Vendor Booth Data

When you use ResaleOS's consignment or vendor booth features:

  • Consignor data you enter (names, contact details, payout records) is stored in your ResaleOS account and is accessible only to you and authorized team members.
  • Consignors who self-register through your consignor portal provide their information directly and consent to its use for consignment management purposes.
  • Vendor booth data (tenant details, booth assignments, recurring billing records) is stored in your account and used solely to operate the vendor booth management features.
  • We do not share consignor or vendor booth data with third parties except as required to process payouts (e.g., Stripe for store credit or payment links).

11. Children's Privacy

Our Service is not directed toward individuals under 13 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

12. International Data Transfers

Your data may be processed and stored in servers located outside your country of residence. By using ResaleOS, you consent to the transfer of your data to these locations.

13. Updates to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted here with a revised effective date. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the Service.
